She is especially thrilled to be building this piece with a company of local artists, family, and friends who have poured so much heart into the ride. Endless gratitude to her two main men/collaborators, Shayan and Leo, her daughter Cleo, and the entire Pony family for making this wild dream feel possible.

Leo Meehan: Official Creator and Composer of The Pony Express: A Musical Adventure!

When Leo was a teenager, his mother told him he needed to get a “real job” and that his love for music and songwriting would have to remain a hobby. Leo went on to become the President and CEO of W.B. Mason, spending decades helping build the company into one of the most recognizable brands in the country. Having fulfilled his mother’s wish, he is now very happily back to writing music.

A lifelong music lover and songwriter, Leo has always believed in the power of a good story, a strong melody, and a song that brings people together. The Pony Express has given him the chance to return to that first creative love alongside his family, bringing his songwriter’s ear, and a lifetime spent in the business of delivery, to a story full of riders, ambition, and melodies that feel like they’ve been kicking around forever.

He is grateful to be part of this ride with Sally, Shayan, the Meehan family, and the incredible artists bringing The Pony Express to life.
